This allows the user to lock the bipod in a central position. This negates the problem of many swivel equipped bipods where the rifle is placed to rest and suddenly cant to one side. (The Swivel Lockout feature is threaded and can be removed if desired.) - Drawing from our AR heritage the Prizm is intended to be as modular as possible. The clamp interface is ARMS® 17 compatible and the foot adapters accept parts designed for Atlas® bipods as well.
